No that is not the problem. I want to change some setting on my phone. In the map systems/etc there is a file called gps.conf. i like it to change. But I can't save it. People says to me, for saving, you need to root the phone.
the easiest way to change things in the system folder (apps , files) is with root explorer
in /system you have to remount rw (read+write) first when you want to change something, this folder is ro (read-only ) normally
you can also use terminal emulator or adb, but you need to enter the correct commands ...
Oke, thanks, Can I download root explorer in the Market, or from Internet?
And I can change remount rw with root explorer?
Oke, I have download this program Download Root Explorer version 2.3 for Android | Android free Apps, Games, Themes and Android News
When I want to change the permissions system/etc/gps.conf (long press on that file in root explorer) he says, it is not possible because the file system is read-only.
Is there an other free program?
you can remount rw with button ...
but to use this feature, you have to grant root explorer root access in superuserwhitelist first ...
when you start root explorer the first time, superuserwhitelist asks you if you want allow this -> choose yes
now you should see the remount rw button in root explorer and can change permissions after mounting rw ...
