Relocate dalvik-cache to free up space

If the kernel is getting the information for usable RAM without knowing that dalvik cache is moved to cache then it will always calculate this amount of memory in /data and leave it untouched not knowing that is free to use.

Dalvik-cache has nothing to do with RAM, it is stored all the time in flash memory.

I repeat: ES Task Manager and all other progs reports much less free RAM then I have with simly "df -h" in terminal or simply with Root Explorer.

"df -h" gives only info about disk usage.

Can someone using this mod check out the size of /data an the size of /data/dalvik-cache

This depends on installed apps, not kernel/system.

Thanx. I was confused. It is logical now. So we have no influence on RAM - except with setting MinFree values.

I'm running this on SpicaGenMod beta1 without problems, and before on both SamdroidMod and CyanogenMod. This really keeps the spica fast after some time, whereas it would slow down after a few days without the script.
