you need a recovery menu or root access to install, have a look at kitchen : http://forum.samdroid.net/f28/samdro...8-2010-en-939/

    @ equk : how to uninstall ? simply delete userinit.sh from /system/sd & reboot ?

or is a special "move back" userinit.sh neccessary ? perhaps you can provide one ...

    thx

just applied, worked with no problems !
dalvik has moved to /cache as expected !
a lot of free memory now
but one question, what´s happening when /cache is full ?
i have 107 mb free in /data, and 34 mb free in /cache, so i think /cache is filled up first ...

You should be able to put dalvik back by removing /system/sd/userinit.sh & restarting.
    Then remove /cache/dalvik-cache

you have 159 mb occupied in system ?

/system is firmware, system apps, bootanimation ... and so on, it can be different ...

i had system about 135 mb, but put big apps like documents to go to /system/app, so they use differnt memory ...

    don´t worry about that ...

i wiped cache & dalvik cache trough recovery menu today, worked with no problem with this script installed !

next reboot took long, 3-4 minutes, all the .dex files got created in same location again

so, it´s no problem to wipe dalvik cache with this script (when you install JIT for example ..)

just for other users to know ...

I did an amatuerish attempt at this and failed badly.

I posted this before but I hope Leshak or someone can combine this properly with samdroidtools as another option there [i.e. app2sd ,move dalvik-cache to SD AND move dalvik-cache to /cache] IF it's feasible.
