I tried thenew beta kernel of antibyte FE7 and this does not work anymore, already tried twice to flash in recovery but still no good. Hope you can modify to have this work on antibyte's kernel since its really fast. Thanks.

The problem is not with this script, the problem is with FE7. Antibyte is looking into it, and was thinking about including the script in FE7 when it is finally released.

i know that is samsung galaxy s thread, but i think the information is related
instead just move the cache to another partition, he move /cache,/dbdata and /data to partition that mount from a file
the partition is formatted with ext2 fs, and there's big improvement in speed
do you think we can do that too??
i know the theory, but i don't have skill in linux
I have heard about something like this to get around the shortcomings of samsungs crazy file system on galaxy s. If we also have the same file system on the spica we should look into that.

How I can use it if I have Apps2sd enabled? If I uncheck Move dalvik to SD in Samdroid tools then reboot, then apply this mod in recovery and boot, and only after all uncheck Move /data to SD in Samdroid tools - this scheme will work? Because I can't move both dalvik and data in the phone memory before applying mod, they're too big.

This is a great mod if youd do not plan to use apps2SD. I used before in an no App22SD system.

But to mix this with app2sd is kinda illogical imho - you lose the main point of app2sd, ganing more space. If you leave dalvik-cache in /cache -- you just get under 80mb of space for it, regardless of any performance advantage it has compared to SD. But hey to each his own.

I relocated dalvik to /cache (works fine!!!) and tried to move /data/app from SD back into the body. But at one stroke after first boot I've received a message "low memory to unpack application" during an attempt to install iGo (11 MB apk-file). There was 30 MB freу on /cache and so many on /data (internal memory). Roll back to the apps2sd...

To all: Anyone tried to make TAR backup of /system in Samdroid Recovery ? I can make 4Odin Backup and /data TAR backup, but TAR backup of /system give me an error message "Can't mount /dev/stl6. Invalid argument"
