Default CM and apps2sd ext2 partition

    Hi
It's a very long time I'm trying to figure out how to use my EXT2 apps2sd partition, but with no success:

I created the partition a long time ago when I upgraded from 2.1 to CM, using the recovery console:

    Code:
    # mount | grep ext2
    /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 on /system/sd type ext2 (rw,noatime,nodiratime,errors=continue)
When I installed CM, I went to samdroid tools checked the "Enable apps2sd"

My problem is that my internal memory is getting filled really quickly, but my apps2sd partition remains unused.

    • When trying to move apps to SD card (from the "manage applications" setting screen), I don't see the app moving to the partition (they are moved somewhere else I guess)
    • When downloading a new app from market, it is not installed in that partition. I am not sure where it is installed (CM settings are set to install in external location)

I'd appreciate if someone can explain where CM installed new apps, and how can I make it install them under my dedicated ext partition.

    regards,
    ardroid

Use Samdroid tools. But first make sure you have a partition.
Simply make one in the recovery without the console :-)

U can use Link2sd...a free app on android market and it installs the apps on the SD partition(ext2/3/4 or FAT)...if u prefer monitoring your apps and installing them on a different partition format instead of the EXT2 then u should try it...
