How it's supposed to be a beta version if DivX still doesn't work? I find it necessary that every function is implemented to call it beta

beta doesn't means everything should work... beta means it's more stable than alpha version.
You can try to pull battery and try one more time. Anything wrong shouldn't happen. BTW It takes some time but not 10 minutes.
I decided - right now I'm going a little back in time and I'll verify all included changes, because it can't be like repeating same bugs. It will definitely be done before BETA2.
What's the difference? He can call it even RC4 if he wants, right? He is the DEV, he decides. And it really doesn't make any difference. Read changelog, don't install it if there's something that you want, but still ain't implemented, and that's it....
BTW. I did wiped everything from recovery. SD, SD-EXT, System, Data... And after I booted and installed AdwEX, I had same background I had in Alpha.B2? So, I did factory reset from phone, and then, again formated everything I could from recovery, and than it worked fine.
Bugs:
As already reported, Brightness and Mobile Data buttons cannot be removed, but, I would use them anyway, so I don't really care![]()

For everyone with "My clock color is black", just restart phone one again after installing BETA, and color will be white...
Question: Locking phone and messaging in memory? It locks Phone.apk or our default apk ATM? I use stock messaging, but AContact.apk, because stock phone doesn't have T9 search on dialer...

Which was more stable, Windows 7 Alpha, or Windows Vista Beta??
Black clock still present.
In computing world and software development, ALPHA is ALPHA, BETA is BETA, RC is RC, if you're the DEV you just cant call your work anything you want especially when you release it in public. If you call your work BETA and it does not passed the BETA requirements, this can ruin your credibility being a developer. What's the difference? He can call it even RC4 if he wants, right? He is the DEV, he decides. And it really doesn't make any difference. Read changelog
One more thing, did CRIMINAL release any BETA for Spica?
remember that he say he will never release beta until everything is working fine...thats a great DEV... and i salute him for that
Im not saying that the DEVs of SGM are not great, they are all great...I idolized them because they can create a great ROM which I have not done before....actually I want to learn from them..![]()

Tom3q's C.M. 7.7 + 3.0.42-AHB166Sync Kernel
Of course.
andBeta level software is between 60% and 70% complete, generally includes all features, but may also include known issues and bugs of a less serious variety.

I didnt found an official definition for BETA, but I agree with banjo. More or less, alpha is alpha, beta is beta. The beta version of a software release is considered to be a preview. It has all the standard features
Well, if anything works, ain't that Final or RC? But, anyway, everyone can have their own opinion, and mine is that this release deserves BETA status. Considering how much time passed, and that we still don't have DivX, I doubt that we will ever have it. And it really ain't big deal. We have MP4 playback, ain't it the "same"?....
EDIT: And, I really think we should stop arguing about that, and review this ALPHA-BETA-RC release....![]()
Sorry...
