    Question How to disable Gmail?

So i got a problem, everytime i enable DATA NETWORK (3g/gprs) gmail opens and connects to check mail, but that means, that it eat's megabytes.

So the question is, how to disable it or remove it?

I think you can do it through the setting menu => Accounts & Sync => turn on (check) Auto-Sync => Click on your Google account => turn off (uncheck) the Sync Gmail item.
By this you will disable the sync for your Gmail.
Although I've sold out my Spica I will still visit this lovely fourm and may even contribute, Thank you Guys

No way, if Pr0fess0rX's reply is not working for you then something is wrong with your phone or you are doing something wrong. with Sync off disable for all options (check off course that you are not only disabling Contacts/Calendar/etc and leaving Gmail on) there is no way your gmail app checks for mail. At least it has never done so on my phone since I bought it.

    slds,

Everything is disabled. At best case Gmail app is only starting and not syncing, but it's stupid too, isn't there any way to disable it?

Gmail = Google = Android this could just be the more essential app of all that come preloaded and I'm sure Google has in mind that everyone with and android will want to have their gmail app running but off course there is always someone who wants something different like you in this case.
Having sync off should be enough for you, don't know how it uses data being disabled....
