Hi All,

The old thread has gone really out of control with bugs from a lof of alpha's.

Hence I am creating a new thread , please start reporting bugs here so that we can build a bug list.

Buglist

• Youtube HQ does not work.
• Compass is not perfect.
• Divx Playback not supported.
• plug in headset icon not showing also in 8.5.
• Wi-fi teether is not supported
• Some apps have problem gaining root access - fix SamdroidMod 2.0.1.alpha.8.5 - Froyo [AOSP] for i5700 - Discussion
• incall audio not routed to bluetooth headset or to speakerphone
• Strange bugs: ##1

Improvements

• Wi-fi locking faster with Acer Drivers

I'm about to apply 8.5 so I'll report my findings but was curious to know where I can expect some improvements with this firmware...

@munchy, compass should be in the same state as CM one as they are both using cadavre's latest tweaks if I'm not mistaken.

Hi All,

Yesterday, I installed alpha8.4 in my phone, and the problem with the connections seems to be corrected. One thing you forget to include is about color preview when using camera. This issue can be fixed applying a patch (I downloaded the patch trough the other discussion).
The other problem that I can remember is about bluetooth. When you search for devices, the list appear only with the MAC. The device name is not shown, and, if you pair your device with a car handsfree, the audio (I tested it only with phone calls) remain in phone speaker.

Now, I´m downloading the new release to test the new improvements.

link updated, yes compass state should be same and same for video playback as well

I applied alpha.8.3 it was ok. I tried to apply alpha.8.5 today and i got this error from recovery

(no such device)

I Just followed the same procedure to install alpha.8.3

trying right away, was reading the can't mount thread but did not find anything other than wiping/factory reset which I just did but nothing...

@AndroidGT, google88: Try to format \system, then unmount \system, mount \system again and install new AOSP from .zip file.
