    Default Bravia Engine for Froyo

I found this tweak over made by XxXPachaXxX at XDA: The tutorial at THIS LINK shows you how to run the Sony Bravia Engine on your phones.T][ENG.DEV.] Sony Bravia Engine -DHD- HQ IMAGE/MOVIE Quality Improvements - xda-developers

This supposedly works for 2.2, so I tried it. I'm currently on SGM b2.1 on Yonip Final 3D rev04 24bpp, and luckily, my Spica still booted up after the mandatory reboot at the end of the installation, and seems to work fine 20 minutes afterwards..

FEEDBACK: I don't know if it's placebo, but Images became sharper, videos smoother, and scrolling in homescreens, app drawer (GoLauncher Ex btw), and scrolling images via Quickpic became smoother.

Anyone else tried it? They say it doesn't work, but I do feel a slight difference.

I have not tried using the zips there; just used manual installation, and do not forget:

Please do a full backup before trying out, and I am not responsible for whatever damage it may cause.

A far as I know bravia engine works only in video/image not on launcher :/
I saw how its work on se: pictures are more saturated and sharper and video is more smooth with no "ghost" frames(but its probably my imagination)

I just downloaded it so I check if it work on cm 8.4

well, I noticed nice, smoother animations, pictures sharper and videos also sharper and smoother..maybe because of the reboot! Unless other Samdroid members notice any improvements, this must either be placebo or because of the reboot.. :P

I have a permit and mounted system folder but still nothing :/

you could..good thing it worked for me the first time..btw I got the new Superuser, maybe it could make a difference? copied the files to /system/etc and modified build.prop using Es File Explorer then the terminal thingy..also, a ROM from XDA for the LG P500 included the Bravia Engine, and claims faster typing! (?)

well i read, read, read, and i ask, ask, ask... and ask people about this and it turn out that it doesn't work like you think. Why?
this scripts should only (and ONLY) improve image/video quality on your phone screen, its not improve image taken by camera, its not improve speed, its just improve image/video quality on your phone screen. Don't try doing screen shoots because its not integrate in image it self, its just enhance image quality of your screen in real-time, not image.

If you feel speed difference it because you reboot your phone. Wait few days and install for example: addblock, or just reboot phone, you gonna fell speed difference again!

other thing that there are speculation that this script doesn't work. Because there should be enabling option for bravia engine(in settings), and files that are in this script are too small. Its impossible to create 2kb engine... there should be some other files in xperia framework that work with this script, and only then we should see the difference.

    For now(for me) its placebo...
