    Default Battery improvement for i5500

Hi guys! My girlfriend bought (without asking me... I'm still pissed at her...) Samsung i5500... I myself have a Spica.

Now she wants to have a better battery life... How can I improve it? I tried Andoid Booster from Market, but didn't like it. Tried Auto Killer Memory, but the phone isn't rooted. This is her first touch screen phone and she hates, that the battery lasts only for 3 days.

So... that's all she wants... more battery life. Is there a way with application to do that? I haven't use them on my Spica (just kernels and tweaks made by you, guys)...

    I would appreciate the support.

Try juice defender and put aggressive profile in that... actually 3 days is already nice battery life for android..

did you say three (3) days? I get like almost 2 days on my Spica with Yonip v.11 CFS 24bpp, and that's on normal usage (some gaming, around 1 hour music, sms, a few phone calls, some half hour browsing on 3g and an hour on Wifi) and I'm grateful it lasts this long on this much power and use!

IMHO it would be in the most extreme scenario that you couldn't get to a charger in like 24 - 48 hours..

    <- use are using a OC-Kernel (more power = less battery) ...

you can also try the "SuperPower"-App (free) from market (Powersave & "SuperPower"-App (free))

She uses her phone only for messaging and calls.

Guys, here is what I've found after 1 hour of browsing through forums:

FOR i5500/i5503 FROYO ROM 2.0.9 Final MAD Team RELEASED!!

There is some kind of Cyanogen alternative MOD for i5500 and i5503 called "Motafoca 2.0.9 Final". May be this is what I need...

Tonight my girlfriend will install Kies and try to update to Android 2.2 officially... If not - I'll flash the phone with that mode.

Please guys - if anyone knows more share it

    EDIT:

    Just found that:

    and that:

    http://forum.g5devteam.com/index.php...-motafoca-210/

I will test it later this week and see, if they work.
