[MOD Other] GPS tuning from XDA

Hi all,

Here is a small mod to improve a-GPS performance on CM.

You have only to replace your gps.conf file to a new one that has some extra lines.

Excepted results:
- faster satelite fixes

Install method:
- download this file: gps.zip
- unzip it to your SD card
- with RootExplorer (or similar file manager) go to /system/etc and find gps.conf
- rename it to gps.bak (before mount as R/W)
- copy the extracted gps.conf file from your SD card to /system/etc
- restart and test

to undo just delete gps.conf -> rename gps.bak to gps.conf -> restart

Has anyone tried this? I see it's from the Captivate forum on xda. I'm not familiar with that phone but is the hardware similar to spica? does it work with tom3q's CM7 on spica?
