    Read this somewhere:

Had a first taste of froyo on my spica .. It was very stable and fast for an alpha build .. I was able to consistently clock 9.3 MFLOPS :-)

Isnt that kinda low relative to the previous test on an N1? Or is that a realistic high already?

n1 is more powerful than spica

ummm no i meant relative increase in linpack score. like in this early post:

The Nexus One running Android 2.1 gets about 6.5-7 MFLOPS.

The Fuzz ran a test on their HTC Hero, and found it achieved a score of about 2 MFLOPS

Then they ran a Linpack benchmark on the Nexus One running Android 2.2, and achieved a staggering 37.593 MFLOPS!

Based on those numbers that's a 6X increase in mflops, so i was hoping for, asumming a base of 3mflop for the spica, numbers nearer to 18mflops. Hence my question if 9mflops is the actual realistic high we can expect when froyo comes to the spica.

Based on this highlights, it's said that, "Dalvik Performance Boost: 2x-5x performance speedup for CPU-heavy code over Android 2.1 with Dalvik JIT."

I think the Dalvik Performance Boost will be vary depend on the procesor and the overal system. Please, do not think all must be yielding the same Performance Boost.
But I hope spica will get better better performa :-)
