But thats not solving the problem. What about us NOT using Maps? And its not a problem with interference from buildings or whatever, that has nothing to do with the ACCURACY specific problem. Interference would only stop us getting a lock. If we HAVE a lock, we SHOULD have an accuracy value, depending on the quality of the lock.

I have Maps 4.3. GPS Status 2 still gives 0m accuracy. What a surprise.

Could somebody give me the Maps 4.3 APK since for some reason i can't see it in the market :-(
AppBrain shows that there's an update for the Maps program (I'm using 4.2), but I can't download it since I can't see it in the market (

I think the 0m accuracy is a software problem, maybe the GPS driver is screwed up ?
Btw, could somebody with the original 1.5 Android test if the accuracy works or not on his/her phone ?

Either I am so stupid to test GPS inside a building, or you are so stupid to think we are testing it inside a building. The choice is yours.

Google maps navigation works since the update to 4.3.
I also edited gps.conf for an NTP server closer to home.

I didn't say you or anybody else is stupid, i just saw too many people complaining about GPS not working correctly or not working at all inside buildings, so i thought I'd clear that up.

I know there was a bug on maps that the gps would be constantly 'searching' but the update yesterday fixed it. I don't know why some people are having gps issued mine has always worked fine. It's just a bit picky about being indoors. Never gave accuracy problems here in France or when I took my spica to London and used copilot

Can you test it with GPS Status or somehing? To see if youre getting an actual value for accuracy? Im not, and Copilot still works, so that wouldnt show the problem

For me all the GPS related programs (that I've tested) worked correctly, they did take some time to get a fix but that was solved with the tips from the GPS Speedup post.

The funny part is that even Google Maps 4.2 worked even though the accuracy was 0m in GPS Test. Btw, GPS Test always gave me 0m accuracy.

    OK verszipo, so try Glympse.
This one wouldn't surely work properly. Try to track your position on website - not possible when you are fixed(!). When you are not fixed the position on website works with less accuracy. When you are fixed it stops working. Strange? I think it's logic, because application relies on some data which is corrupted, although position is good (accuracy?).

    greetings
