    Default XM kernels

Now I have a few kernel builds, and can't write all to my signature, and a place for bug reporting would be fine too...so here it is.

    All the kernels have
    • EXT filesystem support (rfs/ext2/4 for every device)
    • Automatic e2fsck on every boot
    • Dynamic Sound Fix (You can switch it on/off in recovery:Advanced/Kernel tuning/soundfix)
    • Dynamic Undervolt (You can change the value in recovery:Advanced/Kernel tuning/undervolt) - You can safely experiment with it, as recovery always uses the default voltage
    • Dynamic Audio Buffer (You can change the value in recovery:Advanced/Kernel tuning/buffer) - Low value reduces A/V lag but not good for sound quality. More info: Dynamic Audio Buffer Size
    • Memory Controller Tweak
    • A/V Sync Fix
    • 1% battery driver
    • Stronger Vibrator driver and
    • Multi-Touch v.2.4 from Gabriel-LG
    • Latest Recovery available at build time.
    • Built-in Minimal BusyBox for debugging and recovery purposes. (In case /xbin can't be mounted)

Also all the kernels and the cross-compile toolchain are built with -O3 for the best performance.

Please make an Odin backup before updating, just to be safe
If you can't boot, flash back your previous, working kernel, if still can't boot restore Odin backup.

You can see the last update time for each kernel here

"STD" builds (based on LeshaK's 2.6.29 sources)

"CRI" builds (based on Criminal's 2.6.29.6 sources)
    Extra features: BFQ I/O Scheduler

"BFS" builds (based on LeshaK's 2.6.29 sources with Brain Fucking Scheduler) - Not compatible with RFS! - Not 100% stable
    Extra features: BFQ I/O Scheduler

    Discussion thread

    Issues for all
    • A few user reported Apps2SD problems on CM. (Can't move app) For others it worked.

    BFS Issues
    • On some devices phone and recovery can't detect filesystems. -> Flash another kernel with Odin
    • First attempt for power off will reboot the phone.

    CRI Issues
    • Performance issues with ext4.

    Changelog:
    • 20-12-2010 12:3x - A bug in CM STD and BFS initramfs was fixed which caused the phone unable to boot.
