Hi, could somebody give some information about this update CM-6.1.1-Spica-a8.6_UpdatePack_v14.3.zip... I have a8.4 and is good in my opinion... now I want to know opinions about a8.6... by the way... I have Galaxy Spica...

CyanogenMod + X v14.3 or SpicagenMod BETA3.1? which 1 do u suggest? also which kernel should i opt for? need good battery life + stable smooth fone...currently on CM8.3 and battery life is bad

by the way, any huge difference between cognition and stock rom in terms of performance? other then possiblity to oc?

but cognition rom itself is already rooted, so no more need for super one click. anyways, since you said its easy to get rid of the triangle thingy, i feel safe

oops.. doing futher reading, there is a triangle even with codeworkx version of cwm recovery. can you explain again why the triangle appears? it only appears if you flash rom/kernel with odin right? since the last flash is not something signed by samsung?

so basically, there are 3 ways to get recovery: cfroot4, cwm4.0.0.5 through odin, and regular cwm flashed through rom manager app from the market. i was thinking the latter two options would be faster and i might not have to deal with the triangle? anyways, no way to brick the phone right (except flashing a large png bootlogo)? just like in spica?

anyways, i was first aware that to root s2 with all else remaining stock, we had to use cf-root4 (which is what i assume you used).

cfroot kernel is also used for other custom roms like lite'ning and villainrom.

but when i read cognition thread, it made no mention of using cfroot4 (and the modified cwm recovery that chainfire did). instead they used the regular cwm recovery from rom manager app or that same recovery flashed through odin which you can find in this thread [KERNEL] ClockworkMod Recovery 4.0.0.5 // Initramfs Template for Devs - xda-developers.

so in summary, not sure if i'm right, but we can install cwm recovery and root through a rooted custom rom without cfroot4?
